This year marks the 227th annual observance of the Fourth of July Celebration in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Our Committee of approximately 124 volunteers works diligently 365 days a year to plan and carry out the traditions of the Fourth of July Celebration in Bristol.
The Celebration begins on June 14th with Flag Day ceremonies and will culminate on July 4th with Patriotic Exercises, a 2-1/2 mile Military, Civic and Firemen’s Parade. Check our calendar for specific dates of events and fundraisers. Feel free to travel around our web site.

Bristol's Annual Fourth of July Celebration, established in 1785, is the oldest continuous celebration of its kind in the United States.
In keeping with that long standing tradition of honoring our nations independence, the Bristol Fourth of July Committee establishes as its mission a means by which we can carry out our mandate to have a patriotic observance in Bristol, Rhode Island that can best exemplify our National Heritage.
The Purpose of this Committee is to formulate, prepare and carry out all plans for the Annual Fourth of July Celebration. All members of the Committee are volunteers.

The Fourth of July Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will step-off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 114) and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street. Hope Street (Rt. 114) will be closed off beginning at 8:00 a.m., including Poppasquash Road.
Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Chestnut Street, Naomi Street and Sherry Avenue will be close to traffic. A parking ban along the parade route goes into effect the night before the parade.
The Parade Chairman for the 2012/2013 Parade is Ray Lavey.
On Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, the Fourth of July Committee will hold its annual Valentines Breakfast at the TBA on TBA from 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 q.m.
Tickets are $TBA each and children 5 and under are TBA.
For tickets call: XXX-XXXX, tickets will also be available at the door.
Our 25-Week Lottery will begin January 9, 2011 and end on July 4, 2011. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Fourth of July Committee or forms will be available in the Bristol Phoenix.
Tickets are $25.00.
$50.00 daily drawings will begin in January with seven $227.00 drawings being drawn at the General Committee Meetings of the Fourth of July Committee.
