Please read the following:
- Contest is open to all Bristol Residents in grades 1 - 12
- Prizes will be awarded in at least three categories depending
on the number of entries
- Winners will be asked to read their essay at Patriotic Exercises
- Essay will be published in the Official Souvenir Book
Categories are as follows:
- Grade 1-3: Why is it so important that we celebrate the Fourth of July?
- Grades 4-7: What does it mean to live in a free country?
- Grades 8-12: Why was the Declaration of Independence written,
and how does it effect our country?
