7:45 p.m. - The Adam Ezra Group

"Band of the Year" - 2013 New England Music Awards
"Album of the Year" - Ragtop Angel - 2012 New England Music Awards

"Hands down, the best roots rock band to come out of Boston since the Del Fuegos." - The Alternate Root

“…this is our band. we are from Boston. we are lovely, happy people...”

The Adam Ezra Group (AEG) is not just a band; they are a force to be reckoned with musically, personally and socially. Selling records and tickets is important to AEG, but they are committed to changing the world with their songs and their actions along the way. Ezra and his band are activists and community leaders as much as they are musicians and songwriters. Ezra has spent time living out of a van, farming in Canada, volunteering for the relief effort in Kosovo, and practicing environmental geography in South Africa. Whether as a kitchen hand or carpenter, teacher, athlete, or traveler, Ezra crams it all into the music, always challenging our perspective and often teetering somewhere between gutsy rocker and sensitive poet.

The group’s live performances are sweaty, passionate affairs that have been compared to those of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and have attracted the attention of Royal Avenue Records. In 2010, Ezra immediately signed with Royal Avenue and began working on the album that eventually became Ragtop Angel. Royal Avenue paired the group with multiplatinum producer Aaron Johnson and released "Ragtop Angel," the group's debut recording. "Ragtop Angel" shot to the top of the Amazon charts peaking at #4 behind John Mayer and Sarah Bareilles and was featured on iTunes "New and Noteworthy Rock Albums" in December of 2011. Soon after, “Ragtop Angel” won "Album of the Year" and "Takin' Off" won "Song of the Year" at the New England Music Awards.

Having toured with Rusted Root, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, Corey Smith, Deer Tick, The Goo Goo Dolls, Blues Traveler, Los Lobos, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dwight Yoakam, Gin Blossoms, and many more, the Adam Ezra Group has graduated from the local Boston scene to the national level with a momentum that has catapulted them towards being one of the country’s most talked about bands.

7:45 p.m. - Simply Diamond

Several years ago Paul Shaffer, the bandleader from " The Late show with David Letterman", heard Brian La Blanc singing a Neil Diamond song. He was amazed at how much he sounded like Neil Diamond and suggested that Brian start a Neil Diamond tribute band. " Simply Diamond" was born and the journey officially began. Since that time, Simply Diamond has toured across the United States and other countries and is a nationally acclaimed “Tribute to the music of Neil Diamond.” Though you will see the famous sequined shirt on stage, Brian and the band really focus on the music first and foremost. They pay great attention to the detailed song arrangements that Neil Diamond and his collaborators created. They may sound like simple songs sometimes but when you really dig into the arrangements, they are far from simple. The songs are brilliantly crafted from beginning to end. Though Simply Diamond is true to Neil's song arrangements, they often put their own stamp on much of the material. There are many Neil Diamond tribute shows, but only one Simply Diamond and they shine above the rest!

6:30 p.m. - Caroline Kole

Caroline Kole is not your average teenager. Her normal week may consist of school on Monday, a writing appointment on Tuesday, recording in a studio Wednesday and then opening shows for artists like Reba, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and Charlie Daniels on Friday. At just 17 years old, Caroline knows her passion lies in becoming a Country music artist.

Caroline was born in Houston, TX and grew up in Tampa, FL singing along to The Phantom of the Opera soundtrack and the Dixie Chicks while riding in her car seat. After many failed attempts at sports, she received her first guitar at 8 years old from her parents. Caroline took to it immediately and with green crayon in hand wrote her first song, “Questions,” about a boy at school. Songwriting eventually led Caroline to visit Nashville, where through a friend she was connected to Narvel Blackstock, Reba McEntire’s husband and manager. Narvel heard Caroline’s song “Old Enough To Love” and immediately wanted to meet her. They have been working together ever since.

In 2011, Caroline moved to Nashville after being offered a publishing and artist development deal with Sony/ATV. She most recently released her debut single, “Money To Me,” on Starstruck Records and can currently be found on the road opening for Reba. Caroline also has an endorsement deal with Martin Guitars. With her six piece band this will be Caroline’s first appearance in Bristol’s Concert Series.

Receiving critical acclaim for her recordings, Becky’s proven to be a very prolific songwriter releasing 9 CDs. The Boston Globe called Chace’s Take Your Shot “a stunning collection of original roots rock, folk, and blues."

What people talk about most when it comes to Becky’s music is her powerful voice. She’s been compared to Melissa Etheridge, Lucinda Williams, and Bonnie Raiit. Chosen Best Female Vocalist 5 times by the readers of the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll, Becky has been called "one of the most celebrated singer/songwriters to come out of the RI area."
