Welcome to the official web site of the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the nation and the home of the Bristol Fourth of July Committee. This year marks the 223rd annual observance of the Fourth of July Celebration in Bristol, Rhode Island. Our Committee of approximately 100 volunteers works diligently 365 days a year to plan and carry out the traditions of the Fourth of July in Bristol.

This year’s celebration will begin on June 14th with Flag Day ceremonies and will culminate on July 4th with Patriotic Exercises, a 2-1/2 mile Military, Civic and Firemen’s Parade. Check our calendar for specific dates of events and fundraisers.

Feel free to travel around our web site. If you are interested in supporting our Committee in any way, whether as a volunteer or an event sponsor, please feel free to contact me or email me at .

In the Spirit of the Fourth,
David A. Burns
